Tea Virtues
According
to STAR, specialty tea sales are growing at a phenomenal rate
yet, in many respects, the industry is still in its infancy.
Consumer awareness of tea is at an all time high prompted
by numerous scientific studies linking tea consumption to
a great many health benefits. Millions of consumers are discovering
that tea is a great way to relax, to refresh, to rejuvenate
and to contemplate.
Loose
tea has always been a formal and informal way to socialize
with grace and fulfillment. Loose tea is branching out to
the trend setting, popular ways of the beverage industry.
It
is well known that gourmet coffee houses have become increasingly
popular in recent times. People may select a specific coffee
to enjoy from a variety of beans that come in from all over
the world. Coffee can be brewed in large pots without loss
of flavor, whereas tea is more delicate and brewing can be
difficult.
Most
tea provided to diners is served with a fixed amount of a
specific dried tea within a liquid-permeable bag in a cup
of hot water (a tea bag.) The tea used is usually of a low
quality and in a powder form so it will brew faster. However,
if you happen to leave the bag in too long, the tea will be
strong and bitter. Not very enjoyable!
